Ann Carr Sheehan

Ann will always be remembered by NAMI St. Louis as a remarkable advocate for individuals with mental illness. My condolences to her family.

I only met Ann one time, but she radiated an aura of warmth and kindness. My sympathies to Kathy Sheehan and the rest of the Sheehan extended family.

Ann was an amazing leader, a co-founder of NAMI St. Louis (out of S.C.A.T., the Schizophrenic Care and Treatment Society)and Independence Center. She had a wonderful way of working with people and she has quite a legacy.

All of us with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) extend our condolences to Ann's family. She was a wonderful, caring leader, who made a contribution as a NAMI founder at both the local and national level. She made a difference in the lives of many people.

I haven't seen Ann in many years. Our NAMI Alabama founder, Rogene Parris and myself, Ann Denbo past state presidents send our condolences to Ann's family. She truly was one of the founding leaders of our organization and will be missed.

I served with Ann on the Board of NAMI St. Louis in the 1990s and have very fond memories of our working together. She did so much to get NAMI started and keep it alive that we all owe her a great big THANK YOU. We will miss her.

Ann was my classmate for several years at John Burroughs School. I'm sorry to learn of her passing. My condolnces to her family.
