Ann Marie (Single) Shirosky, 67, of South Washington Street, North Attleboro; formerly of Ryder Road, North Attleboro, died on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at her residence surrounded by the love of her devoted family following an extended illness. She was the wife of Ronald Peter Shirosky to whom she was married on June 26, 1965.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 24, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Pauline (Kavanaugh) Single. She was raised and educated in Brockton where she was a 1960 graduate of Brockton High School. She resided in her native community until moving to North Attleboro in 1985.

Mrs. Shirosky was employed by the Town of North Attleboro School Department as a Special Needs School Bus Driver for many years prior to her retirement in 2005.

Mrs. Shirosky treasured the times spent at the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette in Attleboro.

Among her favorite pastimes were crocheting, spending time on the computer and shopping, especially at the Christmas Tree Shop.

She will be lovingly remembered for the love she showed her family and the love they returned to her. Her family was of the utmost importance to her.

“Buttons”, her beloved canine companion, was a loyal friend. She was a “mother” to many of her daughters’ friends and her home was always open and welcome to them.

She touched every person who came into her life one way or another and always made everyone feel as though they were part of her family.

In addition to her “Hon” of 45 years, she leaves three daughters: Christine Marie Shirosky of North Attleboro; Debra Ann Brogan and her husband, John S. Brogan, of North Attleboro and Linda Beth Gousie and her husband, Brian W. Gousie, of Rehoboth; four grandchildren: Veronica Ann Brogan and Madalynne Rose Brogan both of North Attleboro and Zachary William Gousie and Joshua Brian Gousie both of Rehoboth; a brother: Albert Single of Brockton; Richard Betts of Mansfield whom she thought of as a son and several extended family members and friends.
