On June 8, 2007 God called Ann for a Helping Hand. She was ready and willing to answer His Call. She went peacefully with family at her side. She will be missed by her loving husband of 62+ yrs., Ray, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her extended family and many friends and co-workers at God’s Helping Hands of Mecosta County.
Ann was born July 6, 1927 at Mt. Pleasant to Leo and Ellen (Corwin) Lynch. Ann married Ray on Jan 20, 1945 and shared and enjoyed 62+yrs on the Simon family farm in Remus. Ann enjoyed caring for her family, visiting with many grand children and great grandchildren. For many years she loved her quilts, those she made and ones she purchased. Mom will be remembered for potato salad, macarone salads, rhubarb cake, selling eggs to the neighbors and doing her part at the pantry.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Lon & Agnes Simon, and granddaughter Elyse Simon.
She is survived by her husband Ray, her children Jim ( Roxann) of Mecosta, Rose (Chet) Barber of Omer, Marge (Richard) Chandler of Richmond, Va., Mark (Mary) of Remus, Steve (Dorothy) of Midland, Doris (Mike) McHugh of Newaygo, Fred (Mo) of Remus, Frank (Cheryl of San Angelo, Tx., Mike (Rose) of Big Rapids, Tim of Haslett, Dan of Grand Rapids, Molly McNeilly of Big Rapids, Ray Jr. of Paris. Also 36 grandchildren & 24 greatgrandchildren. Her sisters Mary Varga, Therese Smoder & Pat Lynch. Brothers Tim Lynch & Jim Lynch.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to God’s Helping Hands of Mecosta Co. P.O. Box 118, 8944 50th Ave. Remus, Mi. 49340 or Hospice of Central Michigan in her memory. The family wishes to sincerely thank: Wheatland Twp. Response and EMS, CMCH ER, ICU, doctors and nursing staffs of Mt. Pleasant, for the fine care she received while at the facility. Also to Hospice of Central Michigan for their help in her last days.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 am Tuesday June 12, 2007, at the St. Michaels Catholic Church of Remus, MI. Visitation 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm at the church Monday, June 11, 2007 . Scripture Service 7 PM Monday at the Church. Burial in St. Michaels Cemetery of Remus. Officiating is Fr. Charles Hall. For online obit and register book see www.legacy.com.
