Still, after all this time, I think of Ann, who shaped so much of my thought and writing. I miss her heart.

And yet, Anne remains strolling through my heart and mind, the inspiration of so much I have thought, felt, and written.

I often think of Ann as I write or simply muse, and ask myself what Ann might say about things today. And those things inspire much of what I discuss with other and what I write. I also am reminded of Ann's warmth and truth, hoping that I walk in the same path.

Often do I think about Ann and our daily correspondence. I, like her family, am ever thankful for her having been in my life.

After a year I still miss my muse and friend. Even now I still write essays but only to be saved in my drafts. Ann's memory lives on to this day and will. Like her family I am grateful to have had her in my life.

My sincere condolences Ann's family. Ann was my mentor and colleague at Carman-Ainsworth High School and a friend. In her quiet, gracious and classy manner she tried to "maximize the potential" of everyone. I benefited from her efforts. She was a rarity that will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Stormzand was my 9th grade English teacher at Carman High School. She was a great teacher.
