Anna Andreini-Brophy was an original. Her influence and work with César Chavez and his farmworker movement are the stuff of legend. Her ability to open doors, hearts and pocketbooks boosted Chavez into the national spotlight. Anna comfortably and naturally made things happen at all levels of society and in every endeavor she undertook in her life. Stemming from her legacy of loving, wonderful deeds and jobs well done, Anna’s influence and radiant smile endure. Blessings and condolences to her...

As a 15 year old out of Delano on the NY boycott, Anna was so kind and generous to me. Taking me shopping for clothes, taking all of us boycotts to eat at fabulous Chinese Restaurant, and working tirelessly to help us make the boycott a success. She holds a special place in my heart. My condolences to her family.

Mack and I knew Anna in New York while working on the UFW grape boycott in 1969. She was an incredibly effective supporter of the farm workers’ cause. I have thought of her often over the past 50 years.
