Anna "Toudie" Dressel, 91, a resident of the town of Anson, passed away peacefully at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Bloomer on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. She was born June 27, 1921 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Leonard and Anna (Koninchley) Hanley. On June 18, 1940, she married James W. Dressel. Anna worked at Falls Dairy until the age of 70 and waitressed at the Elks' Club. She enjoyed playing Bingo, walking, doing crossword puzzles and being with her grandchildren. She was a cancer survivor of 21 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Jim Falls. Anna is survived by three sons: Roger Dressel of Cadott, James (Sharon) Dressel of Cedar, Minn. and Dan (Carmen) Dressel of Vadnais Heights, Minn.; one daughter, Diane "Disy" (Cesairo) Lopez of Maplewood, Minn.; four brothers, Floyd (Mary) Hanley of Thorp, Clayton Hanley of Jim Falls, Jerry Hanley and Dick (Diann) Hanley both of the town of Anson; one sister, Elaine Sydejko of Chippewa Falls; 7 grandchildren, Julie, Tracy (Eric) Torgersen, Jimmy, Alicia, Melissa, Danny and Sarah; and one great granddaughter, Jade. She was preceded in death by her husband, James on January 21, 1964; one son, Timothy (Kathleen) Dressel; her parents; two brothers, Leonard and John Hanley; four sisters, Grace Hanley, Gladys Mikels, Lucille Brick, and Maude Hanley. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 28 at Sacred Heart Church in Jim Falls. Rev. Peter Manickam will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Burial of cremains will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. Friends may call one hour before the time of services Friday, September 28 at the church.
