Not sure what to say?

Anna Duncan was the best of the best. For 17 years my husband, who was a professor at the Stone Building, and I had the great pleasure of eating in Anna's cafeteria at Florida High when it was on campus. Everyone loved Anna---her wonderful staff, the students and faculty. Never did I see a disagreement between her and her staff. Her cinnamon rolls were divine and I gave a jar of mayhaw jelly to Anna's staff at holiday time. When I retired, and Anna went to Southwood, I suggested that...

Mrs. Duncan,
You have served our family for many years. What an amazing and kind hearted person she was. Thanks for all the great memories and being so faithful to our Florida High Demons and Seminoles. Gone but never forgotten. Rest in peace, Mrs. Duncan.
To the family,
Thank you for sharing her with us for so many years. We ask that God provide strength and healing during this difficult time.

Anna was a delight of a person. In hectic times, she was gentlest grandmother to my children. The world is missing someone special with her passing. Condolences to all who miss her.

- Catherine

My deepest condolences to the friends and family of Mrs. Duncan. She served my lunches daily for the entire 13 years that I attended Florida High. She had the sweetest disposition and always wore a smile, no matter the heat or chaos in the kitchen. I never forgot her. What an amazing life she led! I had no idea of her many accomplishments or active volunteerism (juvenile me never thought to ask her about her life and interests). The adult me admires her very much, and I hope her friends and...

She was a great lady. We had the best lunches while she was there. Always smiling. You'll be missed Mrs. Duncan. Heaven just got another good one!

Mrs. Duncan, as she was known to all of us kids at Florida High School, also was our beloved lunch lady. Today, with her obituary posted on the Florida High School Facebook page, we fellow graduates are sharing memories of our favorite dishes that Mrs. Duncan fed us, and the tops are the cheesy bread, pizza, and of course, her cinnamon rolls. My condolences to Ted and the rest of the family. You are in my thoughts - and many others.

The lunches just got better in Heaven....she was the sweetest soul to put up with all of us! She will forever be in my fondest memories of FHS....prayers to her family. - Kim (Leigh) Cash, Class of '82

Mrs. Duncan ran the cafeteria at Florida High during my time there as a student. She was always so kind and generous and worked hard to make the food at FHS better than palatable. Two foods I remember with yummy appreciation were the cheesy bread she made to go with the chili con carne and the super fantastic sticky buns!! Those were a favorite of many. Thank you Mrs. Duncan. Godspeed and God bless.

Sorry for your lost I had the pleasure of being a caregiver for Ms.Duncan she was a sweetheart and will be missed.
