Anna “Hanya” Gasper, 94 of Coplay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 1, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. Born on June 22, 1927 in Ormrod, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Zonair) Meleta. Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Frank in 2003. She was employed as a seamstress in the garment industry for many years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Stiles. Anna was also a member of the church’s Altar and Rosary Society.


Survivors: Anna is survived by her sons, Frank Gasper and wife Dr. Ruth Frye, Robert Gasper; daughter, Lisa Gasper; granddaughter, Catherine Gasper and several nieces and nephews. Brothers, James, Michael, Samuel and sisters, Mary, Julia, and Sadie preceded Anna in death.


Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 6th at 10:30 a.m. in the church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass in the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton. Online condolences may be offered below.


Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church in loving memory of Anna.
