I was a small boy, when I came to Ware. I would walk to Aspen St, up those stairs,and see my Aunt Anna. It was summer and she always had a smile for me.
There was little Dickie, and Joanie, all excited to see me. I would go there till I was 17. I loved my Aunt anna, and my Uncle Arthur. He was my best man at my wedding. When I was very little, he baby-sat me, and as he held my hand, I said to him,"Is there really a Santa Clause." And he said, Oh yes, as we walked from Eddy St. to Aspen...

Hi Elaine and John,
I remember your Mom well. I hope she did not suffer. My mom, Marie Sorel, passed away two years ago. Not much of the ol Aspen Street Moms are left but we can cling to our memories and they will live forever. My thoughts are with you, please pass my sympathies to the rest of your family. ~Maggie Sorel
