Send Flowers

Spring Forth in newness of life.... On January 17, 1956, a seed was planted in the garden of Isaac (preceded in death) and Beatrice Lamar in Chicago, Illinois. Over the years the seeding grew into a strong beautiful and colorful sunflower that stood strong in spite the storms of life. Anna Lamar received her education in Chicago, Illinois and later joined the Illinois Army National Guard where she served 29 years and promoted to the position of 1SG and later retired. She brought forth two wonderful men Cleo and Gerald Lamar. Anna was full of life, vibrant, and she was energetic and truly touched lives. Blossoming in Unconditional Love At an early age Anna accepted Christ in her life in Chicago, Illinois rooted in the firmer soil at First Christian Missionary Baptist Church where she sung in the choir under the Auspices of Rev. Nunn. Life was like the ripening of the seed of the sunflower for many years good news was spread by the winds of time blowing and germinating the seed of Anna Lamar through dedication in serving in the United States Military. Growing Into Eternity In the spring of her life on December 10, 2010 at approximately 2:00 pm, the beautiful flower began to wither, however the seed of her wonderful life has been carried away and continues to pollinate and germinate in the garden of life, a beautiful floral arrangement continues to grow in Anna Lamar's garden. The remaining flowers are: her loving mother ~ Beatrice Lamar; her husband ~ Larry Major; ex-husband ~ Prince Albert Warren; beautiful children ~ Cleo Lamar (Melissa), Gerald (KeKe), Shaquanda, Jordon, Virginia, Dean (Frank), Willie (Shell) and Maurice; loving sisters ~ Diane (Kennith), Desiree (Dennis), Mable (Peacock); wonderful brothers ~ William (Niecy), David (Niecy), Maurice (Sandra), Joe (Elsee), Howard and Junior (both preceded her in death); grandchildren ~ Little Gerald Jr., Desiree, Asia, Jordisha, Isaiha, Markees, Jalon, Victoria, Courtney, Domonique, Jasmine, Sidney, Tahira and a new bundle of joy that will arrive in March; great grandchildren ~ Drevion, Daniel, Dantrell, Heaven, Janiyah; best friend who loved her dearly ~ Christine Kelly; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Anna will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Her life was an inspiration and a blessing to her family, friends and anyone in need. Sorry I Had To Leave Sorry I had to leave in a sudden kind of way but my friend Jesus said he needed me today so I won't call or even say goodbye. Jesus a friend of mine is waiting so I won't even try. Don't worry about the future; it's really not that long. I know you'll be waiting because that's the way of a saints home so don't take another kind of route and be lost because he's coming back for you one day.
