Anna Mary Orndorff, age 80, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, September 9, 2004, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Orndorff was born on July 25, 1924, in Swedeland, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Stephen Joseph and Mary Mizack Vaszily. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Her husband, disabled WW II veteran staff sergeant, Douglas A. Orndorff, whom she married on January 6, 1945, in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, preceded her in death on August 16, 1986.

Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen M. Manuel of Strasburg, Virginia; her son, Robert D. Orndorff of Winchester, Virginia; two grandchildren, Corenne Colson of Front Royal, Virginia, and Sr. Airman Noah Manuel of Okinawa, Japan; three foster-grandchildren, George Orndorff, Larry Orndorff, and Jeremy Wampler of Winchester; and a sister, Margaret Steese of Norristown, PA.

Two brothers, Joseph Vaszily and John Vaszily; two sisters, Mary Luther and Catherine Bucha; three step-brothers, Stephen, Joseph, and John Mizak; and a stepsister, Helen Lawler, preceded her in death.

A memorial mass will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Reverend Michael Kelly officiating. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Evangelist Michael Collins officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Brian Colson, Robert Golightly, George Orndorff, Larry Orndorff, and Jeremy Wampler.

The family will receive friends at Omps Amherst Chapel on Saturday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
