Anna Marie Ramirez

Missing her desperately

I came back to work in 1987; assigned to the Microfilm Division and Anna was my lead worker and was I scared at first till I got to know her. Later, I worked with Anna in the Criminal and Civil Division. She was a wonderful person and friend through out the 26 years that I knew her. She loved to sing and I would tease her by singing to her in my squeek off key voice and she would laugh and comment on what a terrible singer I was. I am glad I got to visit before she left us. I knew Anna since she worked in Microfilm at District Court. She would be the one to go to if you wanted history on any case as she was the only one left who knew how to do research thoroughly. This skill was invaluable when she worked in the Criminal Division and background checks were requested for gun control, FBI, out-of-state law enforcement, and more. The court lost a valuable team member when Anna retired. Anna could appear gruff, but she was really a softie. I would tease...

My Dearest Anna, How I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to know you and work with you. You are truly one of a kind and I will always admire your "straight forwardness" as well as your kindness. I will never forget the love you had for your doggies and your white tigers. Thank you so much for all the memories we shared during your lifetime here on earth. I know you are in heaven playing and enjoying the company of your white tigers.. My deepest condolences to the Ramirez Family...

I just heard today about Anna's death. She and Hortense had been friends of ours since I went to school at Valley. We have been through a lot together and I will miss her dearly. Sing on friend.
