Anna Redlich

To this day I am still influenced by my experience in Mrs. Redlich´s Girl Scout Troop 88. She and Mrs. Hamilton and the other leaders helped chart a positive course for the lives of all the girls in the Troop. Sixty years later I still feel gratitude and indebtedness.

I have many fond memories of my Girl Scout years with Mrs. Redlich as my leader.....way back in the late 1950's. From camping, cooking Girl Scout stew in her backyard, to selling cookies to planting tulip bulbs in front of Avoca, she was always there with her kind, calm encouragement. Very sorry to learn of Ann Redlich's passing. I remember her very fondly as a warm, loving, caring woman.

I am so sorry to hear of Ann's passing. I knew her mostly as a result of her tireless AFS (American Field Service) work in the 1970s at New Trier West. She was a kind and generous woman who always had a smile and a can-do attitude no matter the frustrations and "surprises" an endeavor handed her. She was, and has been, a role model for grace-under-pressure for all of us, and a woman who I greatly admired. Please accept my sympathy, Bill, on your loss. I will be keeping you in my thoughts...

I am so sorry to learn of Ann Redlich's passing, and send my most sincere condolences to Bill. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a most kind and loving person who lived an exceptional life.

I was very blessed to have Grandmother Ann in my life. She was the perfect and ideal grandmother any grandchildren could ever dream of. Her kindness, generosity and warmthness in her heart, as well as Grandpa Bill has made us (Tang / Cheng Family) who we are today. The love and support from the Redlich family has made such a positive impact on all of us and we will continue to love and cherish them forever.

It is hard to know where to begin. Aunt Ann was a big part of my life and in many ways a second mother, just as Uncle Bill is a second father.

All the memories of family gatherings, holidays, summer at Twin Lakes.

I feel blessed to be part of a family that was/is as close as ours.

Aunt Ann is now at rest and in a better place. I know that she is with Grandma and Grandpa Redlich, with her parents and with my mother and father.

They are all playing...
