Not sure what to say?

During the past year I've thought of Connie often. I still miss her a lot but find pleasure in remembering good times and special moments we shared. The memorial service that her family held for her was a beautiful celebration of a beautiful life. I shall never stop savoring memories of my dear friend.

What a role model for women. Constance was intelligent, artistic and full of life, with a genuine concern for others. She was a generous contributor to Glenwood School for Boys and took a personal interest in the children.

We send our condolences to her dear family.

I will never forget Connie. She attended our health retreat Wooden Door and then we had contact thru various organizations because of Long Grove and Kildeer. Such a positive force of energy and great spirit entered our lives.
I last saw her at a fashion show . She entered wearing a blue leather suit. She was in her mid eighties and looked sensational. I rushed to greet her.
To all of you in her family I send my love and condolences. Shirley McAlear

I have known Connie Wachs all my life. I will admit moving to Colorado in 1972 put a damper on our relationship however my mom has kept up with her all these years. I have fond childhood memories of party's at her home. She was a gracious host even to the young. I believe I learned many of the tunes of the 20's and 30's singing with her and her friends. She will be greatly missed by me and all the Edmunds' family. As I am in sorrow with you I am happy knowing that her and Ed are off to new...

My wife, my children and I treasured Connie and her great sense of family and her devotion to family and friends. We have wonderful memories of times together in Long Grove and in Switzerland. It was a special thrill to be present to help Connie celebrate her 100th birthday. We will remember her fondly and dearly.

Howard G. Baur (Palm Beach, Florida) and Robert B. Baur ( El Paso, Texas) treasure the memories of a wonderful lady and her family and send their most sincere condolences.

Aunt Connie was a very special woman - compassionate, welcoming, wise, witty. She loved people and people loved her. She has made an indelible contribution to my spirit and my life. Thanks Aunt Connie. You will live on in me.

Wow! What a great lady! It was my pleasure and privilege to know Connie through our work together in Long Grove. I can't imagine a more lovely personality or anyone who could be more inspirational. She will forever be on my list of outstanding women and role models. What a loss our community has suffered in losing Connie. We were all so very lucky to have her. My condolences to you Charlie, and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

It was an honor and a privilege to know Connie. She was such an inspiration to our Tuesday Bible Class and to our lives.
