Not sure what to say?

While there are many memories of/with Anna, on this occasion, I am thinking of two of them.
When Anna children were young, my best friend Richard and I were in our late teens (16-18 years). From time to time, we would visit Anna and the children during the day when my brother-in-law Bill was at work. Anna would always feed us a meal, of course, and we would have good conversation. Then we would do an efficient job of getting the children riled up, especially the boys. After a half...

Dear Ann,
I've been thinking about the many fun times that we've (all) had together in the family. There were so many fun Sundays on Mt. Pleasant Avenue and on Parkside Drive. I always looked forward to you and my other sisters "coming down to the house". I've always enjoyed being around all of you, my brothers-in-law, the nieces, and nephews. The other day, I was thinking about some of the later pinochle games at Parkside. On one particular Sunday, you and Helen decided to play;...

Dear Aunt Annie,

Thank you for all of your support, encouragement, and fun when we were growing up. You do know that we never really sat on the steps and talked about school. We were always having too much fun.

Thanks especially for listening to me play "Somewhere My Love" on the piano eight thousand times and acting like it was always the first time you heard it.

Most of all thank you for giving me five wonderful cousins. They are extraordinary people. I...

Dear Aunt Annie, thank you so much
for being such a fun part of my
childhood. Thank you also for the
arnold toast on the tv table while
watching Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and the
wide world of Disney. The crabs, and the good times with the Colts,
and the orioles were appreciated,
on that incredible back screened
in porch. What a great childhood
that Grandpop & Grandmom provided
for all our family.

Aunt Annie, I remember the...

Dear Miss Ann,
I would just like for you to know your family is in our prayers and thoughts constantly. Our hearts ache for them. Bill & I often talked about things that went on at your house when we were there. He said he often felt like one of the family. Even down to you fussing at him about something just like you would do to the boys. I know you will look down on your family from heaven.
All Our Love,
Debbie, Bill

Ann,

Remembering all the early years when you and I pushed our kids in the stroller on Eastern Ave.shopping

Also comes to mind how we shared a cabwith our small children to Mt. Pleasant Ave. to take care of Mom when she had pneumonia til she got better.

All our daily phone conservations, of course, about the children.

All the shows we saw together

Walking back to your house from the Vilma movies scared to death after seeing...

Although I never met Miss Anna personally, I am aware of her courage, determination and love of her family. I have been made aware of this by my association with her children which have been a reflection of her courage, loyalty and love. I am so sorry for their loss and thankful to have had the opporunity to know her through her children.

To Miss Ann (my mother-in-law):
How appropriate that this web site is called legacy. Your legacy of love, strength and courage will be carried on through all of your grandchildren. I see it everyday in Bekah and Angela. Mick is working tirelessly to preserve your memory. You would be proud. We love you and miss you.
Love, Susan

Miss Ann,
Thank You for accepting me into your family and treating me like a son. Your kindness will always be an inspiration to me in how I deal with life and I will never forget you.

Love,
Allan
