What a beautiful woman, both inside and out. My earliest memories of Ms. Whitten were during my years as a science educator. I coordinated a hands-on science program for young, Black children. Ms. Whitten would arrive with her granddaughter Nicole every Saturday morning. We always exchanged smiles, hugs and kind words.
