Dear Hilma and Eric,

I just learned today on my return from Australia that your Mother, and my dear friend, passed away while I was gone. I am so sorry. Your Mother was such a good friend to me for many years. Please accept my condolences, and also my condolences to Bill and Paul and the respective families.

I will always remember your mother. Anna and Russ were so kind and welcoming to me. She will be missed.

I did not realize all of this about Anna, even though I knew she was an extraordinary person. I will miss her, and want to extend my sincere condolences.

So sorry for your loss.

Dear Hilma,
My first thought when I opened the attachment was "wow, you really look like your mom...so beautiful and such a kind smile." She lived an amazing life with perseverance and determination.
Now, I realize where you get that " Can Do" spirit. She lives on through you.
