I remember the snickerdoodles and still can't make them as good as hers. They just don't taste as good, without being in her kitchen and taking them out of the cookie jar and wax paper wrapping. Then sitting down at her vintage yellow and chrome kitchenette, with a little glass with red flowers on it, half full of milk, and a turquoise melamine saucer with 2 snickerdoodles, and the smell of the adults coffee lingering in the air... there is nothing as good as nostalgia!
