Not sure what to say?

Absolutely an amazing teacher! She was my 8th grade reading teacher and she co-directed a play I participated in. I unfortunately moved April of my 8th grade and missed acting in my 8th grade. We kept in touch for decades. She wrote to me regularly, including my time in the USAF. The last time we spoke was shortly before Christmas 2010. I sent her Christmas ornaments from Alaska. I have wanted to post something for a while but could not move myself to do so. I went on to earn a Bachelor's...

Mrs. Curran was the person that God is calling us all to be. Love God with all your heart, soul, and being, and love your neighbor as yourself. Well done you were God's good and faithful servant. Love Diane Ebberup

Dear Curran family, My condolences to your entire family on the loss of a remarkable woman. I was fortunate to have Mrs. curran as my eigth grade English teacher. Aside from the subject matter she taught us life lessons about kindness, consideration for others, respect and fairness; things that eight graders don't generally think about. There are many of these life lessons that she taught and that I still carry with me to this day. You will be missed by many, Mrs. Curran but the lessons you...

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my beloved Mrs. curran. She is the reason why I became a Language Arts teacher and a published author. She instilled in me a love for my language. And she made us all feel good about ourselves. God bless her on her journey home.

Mrs. Curran will always be my most favorite teacher ever. When I came to Connecticut in 1979, she was my reading teacher in the eighth grade. Even after I graduated from college I still looked upon her as the greatest scholar, teacher, and educator I have ever known. I feel very gifted in my life, knowing that Mrs. Curran touched my life in a very profound way. I will never read Jack London, or pick up my edition of Moby Dick without thinking of Mrs. Curran.

My deepest...

I'm so sad to hear the loss of this great woman. Mrs Curren was my teacher in 1983. I remember the play that we did that year, Oklahoma and every time we would make a mistake she would smile and say "you'll get it". That smile could light up a room. She was an amazing person. She touched many many lives. My condolences goes out to your entire famely.

To Annabelle's family. I'm sorry for your loss. I knew her from the Pulmonary Rehab. program at the WW Backus Hospital. She brightened the whole room up with all of here great stories.

Sheila and Blake,
My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult loss. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you in this trying time.

Sheila and Charlie, sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. She was an exceptional educator, and her lessons often transcended the classroom. As I got older and got to know her on a more personal level, my respect for her grew even more. She was a gift to everyone whose lives she touched
