Not sure what to say?

I was a student of Mrs. Beardens at Edison Jr. High and I also took ballet with Paula. She was indeed a gracious and beautiful lady who had a big impact on my love for singing in choirs. Ive tried to find her to tell her thank you but never could find her. So I say to the family I loved you mom and every time I hear Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas I think of her because she introduced me to that song when she had our girls choir sing it in the Christmas concert and it was one of our...

Mrs. Bearden marked my life in wonderful ways. She was talented, kind, and treated her students with respect and admiration. I've often thought about her since having her in the early 70s. If I could speak to her today, I would tell her that she was right. She was always right.

So sorry for your loss. I grew up with her as my next door neighbor in Wexford Park. She was one special lady.

My Sympathy to the Family. Mrs Bearden taught me at Vidor Jr. High in 1980-81-82 for Choir. She was so talented and knew Music. She was also our neighbor in Wexford Park in Vidor. She was also very good friends with Patricia Sessions (who now resides in Mississippi) and they often walked together. We (jr...

Dear Paula and family, I am so sorry for your loss of your mother. I always thought you were the prettiest girl in school and I can see where you get your looks. Your mother was a true beauty. My mom passed in 2010 and I think about and miss her every day.
At this time may God surround you with his loving arms and bring you comfort.

With deepest sympathy,
Shirlene Leverkuhn Smith

I loved Mrs. Bearden so much! She taught me at Edison. The dear lady would sometimes teach me privately at our house....all for free She was a teacher, friend, and much like a part of our family. She left a huge mark on the world and her students will never forget that beautiful lady! I know she is in heaven singing with my Daddy and all the angels!!!

I was fortunate to have Mrs. Bearden as a music teacher at Edison Jr. High in Port Arthur. My prayers to the family.
