I write to express my sorrow for the loss of your dear mother. I never knew her until her last few years through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. To see this aged lady, barely able to walk, come Monday after Monday with a trunk and car full of bread and sweets for the poor was truly inspiring. She was an amazement to me. I never knew of her service in the Armed Forces as a nurse. She has spent her life truly caring for others. So I would just say, it was an honor to have crossed her...
