Not sure what to say?

AAR roommate; we were also among the first Catholics at the Div school. Anne was so gracious, a caring person, and fun! Too early gone and so much missed. Jill Raitt, PhD `70.

Beloved Anne, You are still so much missed! Jill

Anne was a gentle, but mighty woman with so many gifts that she freely shared with all, great and small. You will be missed by all Anne, but will be celebrating and remembering us all eternally, I know. Our "set" or group that entered the BVM community in Dubuque, Iowa 50 years ago this summer will especially miss Ann's special presence. Her spirit will always be with us. We all love you, Anne and appreciate all you were and gave to us all. Love, Roberta White, BVM

I thank God for the gift of you as a wonderous treasure, Anne. I have always felt blessed to be in the same Congregation as you, Anne. You were always so poised, so slender, so intellectual -- but most of all-- you were so fun, Anne. I loved your laughter & your ever present, welcoming smile. One day, I hope to meet your family,& my Horan relatives.

between patience and impatience, action and contemplation,
testing old and new at odds, as opposites in mutuality,
viewing in an ancient gospel the light of novelty.

I offer my sympathy to all of the BVM's on the death of Anne Carr, a beautiful, gracious, and holy woman, a scholar, and an advocate for all women.

I so appreciated her generous assessment of my book The Feminization of the Church? that appears on its back cover.

My copy of her book Transforming Grace is generously highlighted. On. p. 157, she speaks of new concepts of God that offer "women a theological ground for their deepest struggle and for their final Christian peace...

Anne was a woman's woman. Our world is richer because of Anne.

Anne was support and companion to me as a first year doctoral student at Indiana University – her last year before going to University of Chicago. Living a few blocks apart, we shared meals and prayer several times a week. She was also extremely generous with her car in that year I had only a bicycle. I was privileged to spend time with her again in the late 90’s as she recuperated in Dubuque! What a wonderful, prayerful, wise woman.
