Anne Sheehan Collins

COLLINS - Anne Sheehan, 94, of Leisure Knoll, Ridge, LI, NY, formerly of Hartford, CT, Milton, MA and Candlewood Shores, CT died peacefully in her home surrounded by those she loved and who loved her on Friday, July 2, 2010. She was the most devoted wife of the late James F. Collins, MD, former Superintendent of Meadowbrook Hospital, the current Nassau University Medical Center. An adored mother to Nancy Edwards of Milton, MA, MaryEllen Fetkowitz of Melville, NY and James F. Collins, Jr., MD of Long Island City, NY, she was loved dearly by her sons-in-law Bill, Mark and daughter-in-law Regina. A precious grandmother, "Gram" and "Mimi" to Nancy Steelman and her husband Jay, Christopher and his wife Angela and John Edwards, Suzannah Breglio and her husband Keith Breglio, MD., Timothy and Patrick Fetkowitz, Allison Collins and James F. Collins, III. Her six great grandchildren, Andrew and Emily Steelman, Nick and BenEdwards, Nicholas and Brendan Brelio cherished their dear "GiGi". The last of 13 brothers and sisters of a large Irish clan, the daughter of the late Margaret and Dennis Sheehan of Hartford, CT, she was a proud and loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews both in CT and MA.Reposing O.B.
