Not sure what to say?

I was out of town when she died, else I would have attended her funeral. She was one of my idols when I was a teenager. She married Eugene McConnell, and his eldest son was one of my best friends. She truly was a lady, incrediably gracious and intelligent. What a laugh she had too! I will never forget that, and how she handled the death of her second husband, preceeded by his son's death by only a few months.

I will really miss such a special aunt in my life. She was always so supportive and inspiring.

so sorry for your loss - Mrs. Cotterill will be missed - hadn't met her too many times, but she seemed like a very nice person. I am Donna Cotterill's sister and i know the family thought the world of Mrs. Cotterill. Sincere sympathy to you. From the McBrayer family in Owensboro Ky.

Curious George, the Wild Things, Harry Potter, Madeline, Maisy, Little Bear, George and Martha, Mike Mulligan, Corduroy, Babar, the Snowman, Peter Rabbit, Ramona Quimby, the Cat in the Hat, Encyclopedia Brown, Nate the Great, Spot, and I, along with all of the other beloved children's book characters, will miss you terribly.

A true southern lady and a champion librarian. I worked with her on the state wide Read to your child campaign in the early 1980's before I had children. I was proud to know her and always admired her energy and dedication to the profession. She inspired a legacy of librarians.

My fears faded as soon as she met me at the door and welcomed me...
