Missing you!

For the past seven years, four of us - students from Guilford Art Center and Studio 404 - have continued to keep Anne's memory alive by forming our own private painting group in her honor. We try to get together once or twice a month to paint and serve as each other's critics and helpmates. Anne's essence is never far away and we think she'd be happy to know that she was such a positive influence in our lives and our encouragement to keep on painting. We'll never forget you, Anne.

Anne was the perfect lady: smart, talented, always pleasant and smiling, never critical and strong beyond my imagination. She endured her illness with grace and acceptance and didn't let it keep her from doing what she loved. As a student with her at Guilford Art Center and Studio 404, I (and my colleagues) am honored to have known her and will miss her dearly. God bless you, Anne.

Rest in Peace Anne

I know that we will all remember her fondly, each in our own way.

My deepest sympathy to all of Anne's family and friends. Peter and Liz will remember me. Anne and I grew up like sisters, literally growing up in the same cribs. She has always been the the girl I have been proud to call my friend. We have not seen each other much for years however, consistently, since infancy, Anne has been the warmest, kindest, strongest, smartest, most honorable among us. My heart breaks at her passing. I feel such a personal loss at having not stayed in better contact. My...

Anne's talent, empathy and generosity of spirit has had a permanent effect on all of us who were her students. She is sorely missed in the lives she has touched.

Dear Claire and John,

I am so sad to learn of your great loss. Anne was a beautiful person, a tremendous support for me and our little group at Studio 404. I started with Anne's Guilford Art Center class, admired her as an artist and as a teacher, and moved along with her to the Post Road studio. How I looked forward to being in her warm and helpful presence each week! How I have missed her, and how intensely hoped for success of the treatment she bravely endured. Please include me...
