Not sure what to say?

This is Susan Jones at the Front Desk at the Country Club of Birmingham. Bless you John and blessings to lovely Duke and Laney.

Condolences to the family of such a wonderful lady, friend and Judge. I pray that you find strength and comfort during such a difficult time.

Anne was like my little sister of the South. Richard and I got to know Anne and John traveling the world as two of the "family law couples." I became a judge in California and 10 years later I was thrilled that Anne was appointed to the family law bench in Alabama. As seriously as she took her cases and the families who appeared before her, she did not take herself so seriously that we couldn´t share a great meal, a great bottle of wine, and a whole lot of laughter. My heart aches to think...

John my thoughts and prayers are with you

Extending my deepest condolences to the family, praying for strength, comfort and peace Glenda D. Freeman, Esq.

I'm still coming to grips with this heartbreaking, unexpected news. Anne was in my classes at Cumberland. She was one who talked to me on a semi-regular basis. She also was on the Moot Court when I was the Moot Court adviser, and became a dedicated Moot Court team coach, leading them to higher levels of success. I remember how excited she was when she was appointed judge. I was pleased when I heard her praised for how she transformed that court. She always seemed pleased to see me....

Judge Durward was an awesome judge and an awesome person. She was always willing to help me when I needed it. She never used the fact that she was a judge to try and make you believe she was above anyone else. John, my love and prayers are with you always.

She was an important and long-time supporter of all the work done at Samford. Her input on our advisory board was always welcome and spot on. She will be sorely missed.
