Miss Eagles was my homeroom and favorite teacher, when I was in sixth grade in the early 1970s. She was the only teacher that compelled me to come back to that elementary school and visit. I came to visit several times while I was still in Jr. and sr. high school. I was moved to learn, decades later, that she was a volunteer at Washington National Cathedral.
