So sorry to hear of Anne's passing - our sincere condolences to the entire Gillespie Family.

The best teacher, boss and person I have ever known. Their are no words to describe what a wonderful person she was. I will miss her the rest of my life, and know this must be a terrible blow for her family.

I´m so saddened to hear about Anne. She was one of the best teachers our sons ever had! She made a huge impact on many students. She always made the learning process enjoyable. I was extremely saddened to read the news of Mrs. Gillespie's passing when I opened the Poway Chieftain. Mrs. Gillespie was my 2nd grade teacher at Valley Elem. She was by far my favorite teacher! I spent before/after school with her, hanging out, I enjoyed her company so much. She was the teacher who noticed I had trouble reading the board so would put me up front. Shortly after she noticed I wasn't reading the board well enough my parents took me to get my 1st pair of glasses. She not only...
