Anne V. Hughes

I was a friend and colleague of Anne's at Burlington High School. The early morning coffe group as well as the lunch group was a highlight of my school day. She loved reading the papers and especially any type of list that was printed in the paper. I can still see her sitting in "her" seat, smoking a cigarette and leading a conversation on a news issue or school issue. She "ran" the faculty coffee and donut concession in the break area and used the proceeds to offer a scholarship at the end...
