Not sure what to say?

A joy to have as a friend!

My deepest sympathy to Marilyn and Anne's family. Was shocked to run across a bench dedicated to Anne on Facebook. Had not heard of her passing. Knew her best as Marilyns mate and heard of her love of hospice care. May she rest in peace and may the memories of her life warm the hearts of those who knew her.

So sorry to hear about this. I am an NP with Boston Health Care for the Homeless and contacted her when I was going to San Francisco- first time we met. She showed me her work and was so warm and welcoming. May she RIP.

I first met Anne over the phone when I Interviewed her for the HIV/AIDS CNS at SFGH back in the late 80’s. Her kind, intelligent and compassionate spirit emanated through the phone. In person Anne was my NorthStar as I learned more about her enthusiasm, expert nursing ideas and plans and her unwavering support to patients and colleagues. She truly has stayed with me all these years and I feel closer to her now in spirit.

It has been over a month since Anne left us; I have not been able to write anything until tonite. Hoping all was not true but it is. I met Anne at SFGH in the 90's. A most lovely caring compassionate, thoughtful woman - those beautiful blue eyes and white hair! Not only was she my friend, but mentor, advisor about life and other things, dining out for lunch buddy, mutual dog lover and so manymore things. Today was a beautiful sunny warm day and I thought of her, those eyes, that hair, her...

For many many years, Anne was a cherished presenter at SF Generals CARE program (an education/support program for the hospital’s underserved cancer patients). Anne’s warmth and wisdom enlivened and enlightened the hundreds of CARE participants who had the privilege of interacting with her. I was so fortunate to know her as a mentor, colleague and friend.
With much gratitude and love

My love and heartfelt prayers go to Marylin, and whenever I think of the two of them, I remember this picture, taken at our last Alumni Day in person, and embrace their beauty and commitment.

Anne shared her sunny smile, compassion and wisdom with so many. She will live on in all those she touched.
