Anne Rebecca Jernigan

Anne Rebecca Jernigan, 89, passed away on March 11, 2013. Born in Suffolk, VA, Anne was the widow of Norman T. Jernigan and retired from Stewart Sandwiches. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra H. Cowger (Wimpy) of Chesapeake, VA; five grandchildren, Blair Henley, Kyle Henley, Deborah Anne Beasley, Garland Beasley, Jr. and P. J. Beasley; and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel with Rev. Charles Moseley officiating. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
