Lindgren, Dr. Anne Winslow Oren Passed peacefully from our family November 1, 2007. Born November 29, 1909 on the family farm in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Preceded by parents, Carmi and Charlotte Winslow; brothers, Stephen and Joseph Winslow; sister, Marion; husbands, Donald S. Oren and Dr. Russell M. Lindgren; daughter, Mary Oren. Survived by son, John Oren (Joan); grandson, John Jr; nieces, Anne and Cindy Winslow; nephews, Clark (Sharon) and Bruce (Kathy) Winslow; and grandnieces, nephews and friends. Graduate University of Minnesota, PhD, past Dean of Graduate School of Social Work and ardent supporter of the University. Served her country in WACS during WW II. Member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Women's Club and Edina Country Club. A passionate life-long learner, she inspired intellectual curiosity and graciousness in all. She will be in our hearts and minds forever. Private interment. Memorial service Sunday, November 11, 2 PM, at Westminster Church with reception in Great Hall afterward. Memorials preferred to University of Minnesota Medical Foundation for Diabetes Research.

Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. Anne was an inspiration for us all-a woman ahead of her time, a role model for women of all ages.
She had a great sense of humor and was a staunch political ally. I know and take great comfort in the fact that she made my father's last years very happy.

Anne was an amazing woman who will always serve as an inspiration to us. Having her as my grandmother was a privilege I will treasure. I will always remember the twinkle in her eye. We will miss her greatly.

Anne was a very classy lady and a dear friend. She will be missed by all of us.

Anne was an intelligent, humorous person who had a delightful charm about her. She was also very thoughtful and made my Grandfather quite happy in his golden years. We shall miss her only on earth for she remains forever in our memories.

Anne was marked by kindness and courtesy, had a wonderful sense of humor, loved all things good and beautiful, took pride in her country and gave her all as an active citizen. She was a gift on this earth and I for one will truly miss her.
