Dearest Anne. Your sweet face popped up in my memories today. You were such a special friend. I will never forget you and all the sweet times we spent together.

To Gail, Laura, Christopher, Meghan, and to Suzanne - My most sincere and heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mom. I hope she has found peace and that you can take some measure of comfort from the memories you have of her in life. I'm certain that what I write here can in no way ease the grief you must be feeling, but know that I cared for Anne and I enjoyed knowing her during that brief time when all of our lives intersected. I loved to hear stories about you growing up in New York, raising your children, and that endless commute into the City every day for work. I'm so blessed that Laura brought you to my restaurant when you first moved to Aiken. That's when our friendship began.
