Not sure what to say?

Anne was my science teacher at South Jr. High School.

I remember her for her kindness, sense of humor, knowledge, down to earth attitude an wicked sense of humor.

She had the mind of a scientist but the demeanor of everyone's mom.

I remember one day she passed out cards with minerals glued to them along with some acid samples. She strongly warned us to not put any acid on one certain mineral.

So whats a Jr. High kid going to do? Of course all of us...

Anne Nesbit was my 9th grade science teacher at South junior High School in the late 1950's. She had a lasting impact on my life and pointed me down the path toward an engineer career. I kept in touch with her over the years and will always be glad to have been able to tell her how shew lit a passion for me in science. I last got to see her in 2015, when i was back in Cambridge for my 50th Reunion at MIT. I will miss her.

Dear Sheila I am sorry about your loss of your sister.

I'm sorry for your loss. I worked with Anne when I first started teaching. She was a wonderful person, always friendly and ready to help. She was an example for me, and I learned a lot from her.

Miss Nesbit has always been my favorite teacher. I had her at South Junior High in 1959-60. I have often thought about her.
She was the consumate teacher. God Bless Dear Anne Nesbit.

So sorry to hear of Anne's passing. She was a mentor to me while I was teaching in Pittsfield. She was a very positive person who projected that onto others. She and I worked on science projects for third graders and she even talked me into teaching LAMO. WHAT A TRUE LADY!

Sheila, I am sorry for the loss of your sister Anne. She was a great person and a wonderful educator. I use to enjoy our talks at your Mom and Dad's house at Christmas time. Your Morningside friend, Bob Harris.

Steve and I have fond memories of Anne, both personal and professional. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

She was a wonderful teacher for me at South Jr High in 1967-1968. Thanks for educating so many of us.

Condolences to her family.
