We are so sad to learn of Anne´s passing. One of my sons, David, and my daughter, Claire, studied violin with Anne while they were in high school. It was always such a pleasure for us to come to her home in the woods and see all her lovely flowers and trees. She was the warmest, most welcoming person and my children learned so much from her and I enjoyed a lovely weekly visit getting to know her, too. My daughter remarked, "Mrs. Ogren taught me how to tell a story with music! And she let me...

I´m so sorry to hear of Ann´s passing. It was lovely that Ann became neighbors to my mother in law Maggie Boyd at CRC. Maggie passed away in 2024. Condolences to you all. Ann was a very, very special lady!

Anne was a great next-door neighbor on the Pomona St. hillside in Ann Arbor. Music poured out of her house as she gave violin lessons--filling us, her neighbors, with joy, year by year. As our dear Fred Remley was finally in home hospice care, Anne sat with him and played beautiful classical violin music that he loved to hear. She and I enjoyed late night walks around the big woodsy block, talking about life and hope. She was a very special friend and neighbor.

I am close friends with her daughter Heidi. I was able to get to know Anne better since Heidi moved out of state and would come home to visit her mom. I would come over to visit Heidi and Anne was so gracious and welcoming. She always had a smile and was very kind to me. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Anne was a member of Mu Phi Epsilon International Professional Music Fraternity for 62 years. A sweet, quiet lady, she was with our chapter only a short time, as she came to us already retired from teaching orchestra in the public schools. At one of our first Zoom meetings during COVID, we played some selections from a CD of her folk trio, Childgrove. She also hosted a meeting for our chapter. We´ve missed seeing her the years that she lived at Silver Maples in Chelsea. Nancy L....
