Anne E. Piro

Anne E. Piro, age 87, of Langdon Place in Dover, NH, died peacefully at home on March 8, 2006.

Born April 9, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of the late Leo and Anna (Lichauer) Bachstetter, she had resided at Langdon Place in Dover for the past 3 years, having come from Bartow, Florida, where she resided for 10 years and having previously resided for 40 years in Locust Valley, New York.

Widow of the late Victor D. Piro, who died in 1989, she was a loving homemaker and mother of four. While in Locust Valley, New York, she was active in community affairs, a Past President and member of the Philanthropic Committee with the Locust Valley Woman’s Club and was a member of the Locust Valley Garden Club. She had worked in Real Estate and also worked with Welcome Wagon.

Survivors include her 4 children: Michele Purcell of Bartow, Florida, V. Stephen Piro of Portsmouth, NH, Lawrence Piro of Gilmanton Iron Works, NH and Robert Piro of Acton, Massachusetts, 6 Granddaughters and 1 Great Grandson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday March 14, 2006 at 11:00am at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street in Alton, NH.
