Not sure what to say?

"gone but not forgotten" is very true today. anne was wonderful.

Anne and I met at Sarah Lawrence in 1973. To me, from NJ, she was so exotic - Portland Oregon! Short hair! Clogs! And so centered. Over summer break in ’74 I was visiting my brother in SF and called Anne in Portland to ask if she wanted to drive back east together. We had many adventures along the way, visiting her sisters in Spokane and Missoula, her aunt in Iowa her grandparents in Austin Minnesota. What a wild trip! We soon went separate ways but connected now and then, and she told me...

Ann was so beautiful, smart, energetic, gracious and talented. She had such a wonderful passion for film, animation and history. She will be greatly missed. So sorry for your loss Dennis.

All of us at Fishtrap are very sorry to hear the news of Anne's death. I enjoyed our conversations, and her support of her grandsons' writing was inspirational to anyone who works to engage kids and creativity. Please know that we are all thinking of you, especially Sam and Bart. Much love from Wallowa County, Shannon McNerney, Executive Director, Fishtrap

my apologies for typo errors in my first post. The Boy AND his car, of course, and “blogged” .... and my last name came out strangely. I’m Tina Castanares, and had great affection for Anne.

she was wonderful. I met her when she was a teenager and didn’t get to see her often as we aged, but treasure her memory and remember her film “the boy in his car,“ which she sent to me on video tape when it was made. She also blocked about caring for her mom in her home with Dennis, some thing that shored me when my own mom, living with us, begin to fade. I am sorry she’s not with us anymore and extend my love and heartfelt condolences to the family.

Anne and I (and Dennis) shared the passion for film and animation.
She will be missed but she will be in my heart.
All my love to Dennis and family

Gone so young, with so much left to give us. My condolences to Dennis, to her family, and to her circle of friends.

Anne was one of the sweetest persons I have ever met. Her drive for what she believed in was second to none. I will miss her generosity, her smile, her dedication, her intellect, her spirit. Goodnight Anne, we miss you already.
