Annemarie P. Dandy

August 23, 1955 – March 2, 2020

Agawam – Annemarie (Parda) Dandy, 64, passed peacefully into eternal life Monday morning.  Annemarie was born and raised in Westfield, MA, the daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Rogowsky) Parda.  She graduated from Westfield High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree that she utilized in her career as a speech & language pathologist, most recently in the West Springfield Public Schools.  One of Annemarie’s greatest accomplishments, aside from being a mother, was publishing a collective journal titled Life’s Waves: The Ebb and Flow of Womanhood in 2008.  She was a beautiful writer and a beautiful soul, who exhibited strength, grace and kindness, even throughout the years of her illness, and was so unbelievably loved.  She leaves her devoted daughter, Shauna Dandy; step-children, Michele Therrien and her husband Bill, and Kent Dandy IV; brother, Joseph Parda and his wife Diane; sister, Christine Keefe and her husband John; grandchildren, Kayla Therrien, Jeremy Therrien and Colin Dandy, and several nieces, nephews and close friends.  The family would like to thank the five angel caregivers Annemarie had during her days at home, as well as the wonderful staff at The Atrium at Cardinal Drive, Baystate VNA & Hospice and Mercy Medical Center for their compassionate care throughout Annemarie’s journey – we are forever grateful.  The funeral will be held at Bethany Assembly of God, Agawam, MA, Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with burial private at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund or Baystate VNA & Hospice.  For more details, please visit curranjones.com.

Not sure what to say?

I was a college roommate of Annemarie at Worcester State. We continued our friendship for many years..... I sang at her wedding on her very hot wedding day ! The was beautiful always , but especially so when she married Kent. She was a devoted wife and mother..... I remember her joyful life and her compassionate heart. I have just learned of her passing. I am shedding tears in memory of our sweet friendship so long ago.... Bea Friedman 6860 Seaspray Lane , Carlsbad , CA 92011

The ladies of the YMCA swim group loved Ann Marie. She was a beautiful swimmer with a great calmness when she was swimming.
Is surely missed.

Kent and family.... our thoughts and prayers to you and your family ... Mary Jane and I have fond memories of visiting Ed and Irene and the kids in the mid 60s... my condolences to you my friend.... remember the good times... God bless. Jerry and MJ
