Not sure what to say?

She was my "go to" person when I had a question about plants or the Bay. She was always helpful and a great resource. I shall miss her terribly.

We will miss having such a friendly face and great resource of knowledge. She taught us so much about how to make our home a more beautiful place while being good environmental stewards. She was a wonderful part of Sarasota's gardening community!

Annemarie was the consummate professional--she was generous with her time and knowledge and her devotion to our environment. I will miss her professionally and personally. Roberta Maxfield

I was shocked to hear of Annemarie's passing. She had so much more to do and share, All of us at Beach Manor Villas South will always remember the help she gave us in our efforts to develop a community that respected nature. Her knowledge was remarkable. We have all lost a wonderful friend.

Kitty Ramey, Venice

My deep sympathy to Annemarie's family and friends. It was a shock to hear of her death. I met her on so very many occasions from her Selby Gardens days to the present in her work for the county Extension, and I even bumped into her in Publix once in a while and we had pleasant chats. I will fondly remember her always as a wonderful speaker, educator, and inspiration for caring for our Earth.

Annemarie was a true blessing. She loved sharing her knowledge with everyone and we are all the better for having known her. We will all miss her very much. Peace and comfort be with her family and know that she will live in our hearts (and landscapes) forever.

Annemarie had a rare combination of depth of heart and mind. She commanded respect and worked with dedicated professionalism while also being a compassionate friend--to her colleagues and for the natural world. She is dearly missed.

Annemarie touched the hearts of the entire staff at Cooperative Extension. It was a blessing to work with her. Her love and compassion was felt far beyond the environmental community. She truly cared about others and had such a remarkablly kind spirit to share with everyone. Her courage, humility and devotion to serving her community will live inside of me forever. What a gift she was and still is to all who knew her.

The board and the members of the Netherlands community in Saraosta and Manatee herewith wish to extend their heartfelt condoleances to the family, friends and colleagues of Annemarie. We are very sad to learn of her passing.
