Annette (Orr) Dahlmeier, 95, of Moose Lake passed away on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025 at Moose Lake Village Nursing Home. Annette (“Nettie” as she was known to friends and family) was born on June 6th, 1930, in Pekin, North Dakota to Richard and Cora Orr. She was a 1948 graduate of Seattle High School and a 1951 graduate of Grand Forks Deaconess School of Nursing. Annette worked at the Moose Lake State Hospital as a Registered Nurse and Cottage Supervisor for over 32 years until her retirement in 1987. She was a long-time member of the Hope Lutheran Church, the Red Hat Ladies, TOPS, and the Moose-on-the-Loose and Good Sam’s Camping Clubs. She was involved with numerous community projects and charities and was a long-term volunteer at the food shelf. She loved time with her family, especially her role as wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and her loving husband of 59 years, Louie, enjoyed traveling all over the world and were avid campers with their fifth wheel for many years. She will be remembered for her love of Shirley Temple, blue birds, sunflowers, and smiley faces. Annette is survived by her sons: Steven (Marilyn) and Michael (Josephine); Daughters: Susan Waechter and Karen (Tim) Coil; her brother: Don (Alice) Orr; sisters-in law: Susan Orr, Judy Kjarum, and Lois (Harley) Tennison; Grandchildren: John (Lisa) Dahlmeier, Ryan Coil, Heather (Adam) Gallus, Matthew Dahlmeier, Jason (Toni) Dahlmeier, Joshua (Keely) Waechter, Adam (Crystal ) Coil, William (Jackie) Dahlmeier, Nathan (Holly) Coil, and Katherine (Jamey) Collidge; Great-Grandchildren: Audrey, Grace, Mercy, Justice, Jubilee, Glory, Magnus, Adelaide, Matilda, Vera, Paige, Carter, Lauren, RaeLynn, Graysen, Tanner and Jacob; grandson-in-law: Joshua (Natalie) Roeser with their children Fiona and Nathan; and numerous nephews, nieces - and of course, her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband: Louis Dahlmeier; brothers: Robert (Vicky) Orr and Grant Orr; granddaughter: Melissa Dahlmeier Roeser; and son-in-law: David Waechter. Not sure what to say?

My mom Connie Flaagan was a good friend of Annette, they stayed in touch years after graduating from Deaconess school of nursing. 75 year friendship across the miles with letters and cards.

Aunt Ann was a favorite aunt for sure. She was always so up and happy and eager to help and entertain whoever is around. She and Uncle Louie were a perfect match and are missed by many. So glad Uncle Louie has is favorite person with him.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope your happy memories will help you through this difficult time. My prayers are with you.

What a lady she was! May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. She will be missed by many and my thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends she has left behind.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Nettie was a very sweet lady. God bless you all. Sending HUGE hugs.
