Not sure what to say?

I can't begin to tell you memere how I remember working in your garden with my brothers, sisters and you picking and cleaning the string beans for dinner if we didn't eat them all first. You will be missed.

With all my love Pro

As a child I had such wonderful memories of my Memere.Praying in the rocking chair before bed, tending to the garden, family get togethers, getting a peppermint from the cabinet. So many to list. She was an amazing women.Someone to look up to. One day I want to be as great as she was at being a grandmother.I will miss her greatly.

At the end of the funeral service I could not help, but feel that my childhood had finally come to end(at the young age of 43). All the memories with Memere came rushing back one last time and I left with a smile on my face ,but a little ach in my heart. On my way back home to Louisiana the radio was playing “I’ll be home for Christmas” and a thought came to mind yes Memere you are home for Christmas. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

As a child I fondly remember sitting in her rocking chair, just off the kitchen area. She would hand me a Sears catalog and I would be lost in it for hours. A rambunctious boy, calmed by the loving knowledge of my Memere. Or having my hands washed by Memere. Never told to wash my hands, but patiently washing them with me. Or her infectious laugh, that could brighten your heart instantly.

So, even though I am saddened by her passing, I rejoice in Memere’s life.

Memere was part of my life as I grew from a child to an adult. Memere is a cherished part of my memories as I took that journey to adulthood. Her love was never failing and her smile lit up our lives .The meaning of family was taught thru example and she welcomed all new members. My children who are now grown fondly remember her switch from English to French in the middle of a sentence and the way she would make them laugh. My father in law once said that Memere was the most giving person he...

Memere was such an amazing woman. I learned many things from her, but something I will never forget is to never take anything for granted. She had so much love for everyone, not just family. I know she'll be watching over us all. Much love to the family! <3

I am blessed to have 44 years of wonderful memories of Memere. I am thankful that my children knew her and learned from her. Memere was the most peaceful and graceful person I know and shared herself with all. Much love to all our family. Mom, thank you for all your care of Memere these last years.

Our family's prayers are with EVERYONE and MEA-MEA. We love you MEA-MEA.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
