NEWTON, Annette - Of Flint, age 71, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Brian's House of Davison. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Chaplain Jack Eagan officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Genesee County. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Annette was born in Flint, Michigan on September 4, 1939, the daughter of Frank and Antonia Spicko and was a resident of Flint her whole life. She married Buddy Newton on May 4, 1963 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She had a love of shopping, books and her family, especially her grandchildren. Annette was a property manager in real estate and worked at Baker Park Library. Surviving are sons, Mark and wife Dana of Grand Blanc; Darren and wife Tami of Swartz Creek, David and wife Michelle of Clinton Township; grandchildren, Jenifer, Samantha, Ryan, Brandon and Alyssa; mother, Antonia Spicko; sister, Frances and husband Jim of Flint; many nieces, nephews; brother and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Newton, on September 13, 2008 and her father, Frank Spicko. Your condolences may be shared with the family at swartzfuneralhomeinc.com
