I met Annette in 1975 - I was a 15 year-old bossy kid who needed a job and she managed the bowling alley - Cottonwood Lanes. I would describe her as fun but firm. You always know she loved you but she expected you to be your best and she made me want to rise to that level. She was loving and giving and some of the best times of my life were spent learning to understand life from her and laughing until weeping while doing so.
