ANNIE BACH Obituary

"Ann" 1934-2010 Ann was called to her eternal rest on Thursday, February 18, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife of Chris for 52 years; the beloved mother of Eric and Karen; and beloved grandmother of Jessica, Michael, Linda and Ashley. Ann was born in Easton on November 30, 1934, to Mads and Marie Nielsen. She attended Orange Center Elementary School and Washington Union High School. Later in life, she studied accounting at Fresno City College. She made a career, beginning in banking, proceeding to title insurance and the escrow business, and finally to accounting. In the course of her career, she worked for Bank of America, Security Title, Transamerica Title, all in Fresno; State Tax Services in San Francisco, and finally at the Internal Revenue Service Accounting Division in Fresno. She traveled throughout California and the Western States, visiting many cities and national parks, as well as historic sites on the east coast. She made three trips to Europe and visited several countries. She loved her garden which she helped create from a barren patch of fig orchard. She was totally and selflessly devoted to the welfare of her parents, children and grandchildren, giving generously of her time and never putting herself first. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church; first at Immanuel in Easton, then Bethel and Trinity in Fresno, as she moved , and she can say with Saint Paul: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course I have kept the faith 2nd Timothy 4:7 She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers, Donald and Elmer. Eric
I know how difficult it is to lose a loved one and I just want you to know my thoughts are with you.I found this when my mom passed and It was a comfort to me. So I would like to share it with you.
Mother has ears that truly listened
Arms that always held,
Love that is never ending
And a heart made of gold.
Mothers heart stopped beating ,
Her hard working hands now rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best
