Annie W. Connor

Annie Witherspoon Connor was my teacher and mentor from 1955 - 1960 at Delaware Elementary School. She was an amazing individual. She taught first thru sixth grades in a small schoolhouse in rural Virginia. She had a deep impact on my life, getting me interested in reading books at an early age. I regret that I didn't get to see her in later years after retirement so I could tell her what an influential person she was in molding young people. She is and will be deeply missed.
