Annie Kahn

Annie was an amazing teacher and friend. She called herself a "helper." Indeed she was. One of the things I treasure the most was her teaching me and others how to offer dawn prayers, which I have been doing faithfully--rain or shine--daily for several decades. She welcomed groups I brought through Earth Walks https://earthwalks.org/ with open arms and an open heart. Annie will always be missed but she is present every day in my dawn prayers.

I found a card Annie wrote to my mom, maybe about 1974 or '75, shortly after my mom had become a Baha'i at age 60 and had left her home in Amherst, Massachusetts to visit the magic land and the magic people of Lukachukai and Chinle. "My hogan is warm. My hogan is round. My hogan is near the heart of the earth." Annie has been in my thoughts the last couple days. I did not know she has passed on. I just want her and her family to know how much I appreciate the time she spent with me many years ago and what she taught me is always in my heart. She is a good woman.
