Not sure what to say?

Tony was a gentleman who personified debonair. I met him as a member of the French Rat Pack (Daniel Zilkha, Jean-louis De Turenne, Patrick Lathrop) at Princeton when we were 19. Like Cleopatra, 'Age cannot wither... nor custom stale / [His] infinite variety.'

My sorrow and sadness that I just learned M. Antal De Bekessy pass away.
Un grand Passionné de vins fins.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to his daughter and devoted personal staff.

Sincerely

Carolina Chevalier

On this sad anniversary, I choose to remember Tony's joie de vivre which I first encountered at the Colonial Club c. 1961. I only knew France from a 7AM Princeton French class and varied readings from St. Exupery and de Maupassant therein. It was Tony who really introduced me to French culture beginning with his ebullient personalty. I can never forget an extraordinary luncheon feast Tony arranged when I visited him in Paris complete with a discourse on the complexities of French publishing....

A tragic loss.

It s with sadness that that I just learned of Tony's passing. I roomed with him in our first year at The
Harvey School in Hawthorne, NY. My best memory of Tony was his sense of humor, his love of the arts, and his desire to become an orchestra conductor. I am most pleased to learn of his many successes after moving on in life. Rest In Peace, Tony.

Sadly, Tony shall certainly be missed at this year's 55th anniversary.

Tony was a valued classmate at Saint Paul's School and friend to many. May he rest in peace.
