ABBATESSA- Anthony T. Jr. suddenly of Winthrop, Feb. 7 in his 67th year. Beloved son of the late Catherine (Luongo) and Anthony T. Abbatessa Sr.. Loving father of Anthony T. Abbatessa III and the late Philipp Abbatessa. Brother of Michael A. Abbatessa of Peabody and Theresa Bage of North Reading. Cherished grandfather of Bruno, Franco Harris and Antonio. Longtime companion of Olga Festa of East Boston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son Funeral Home 147 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in Holy Rosary Church, Point Shirley, Winthrop at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 5-9 PM. Interment Winthrop Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Philipp Abbatessa Memorial Scholarship Fund C/O Master Sports PO Box 571 Bedford MA 01730.
