Curran-Jones Funeral Home - West Springfield Obituary

Anthony “Tony” Albro passed away October 8, 2017 peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.    A longtime resident of Agawam, Tony was the Director of Building Maintenance, as well as the Master Electrician for the Town of Agawam where he worked for over 30 years before retiring in 2013.  Tony was also a member of the Agawam Gun Club, and the Chicopee Elks Club.  He loved to work with his hands; building, repairing, and tinkering with many things, especially his cars and trucks.  His generosity reached beyond the realm of friends and family to anyone in need.  He was always willing to help whoever, wherever, and whenever needed.  A man of great faith, he valued his family above everything.  Tony leaves his life partner and best friend Kathleen “Kate” Albro, his sister Frances “Cookie” Albro, his two nephews; Mike Albro and his fiancé Becky Salzer, and Tony Albro and his wife Jessica, and three beautiful and beloved grandchildren Jason, Nicholas, and Emma Albro.  He also leaves cousins Keith and Lynn David, Bob and Deb Griffin, Linda Mariani and Butch Mariani, as well as Bart and Maureen Gerrmann and many other family members.  Tony has been reunited in Heaven with his parents Cosmy and Clementina (Mariani) Albro, and his brothers Al and Bobby Albro.  He will be missed beyond what words can describe.  The family wishes to thank Dr. Philip Glynn, his staff, and the staff at Mercy Hospital for their wonderful commitment to his care.  Friends and family are invited to the funeral Mass  Friday at 10 am in Sacred Heart Church followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Calling hours at Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home will be Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Sacred Heart Parish in Feeding Hills at 1061 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills Ma 01030 or Sister Caritas Cancer Center, 271 Carew Street, Springfield MA 01104. Stairway to Heaven

Kate,
So sorry for your loss. My husband Paul worked for Tony for many years before Paul passed. They are up there in paradise waiting on us. May tears soon turn into happy memories.
