AMBROSE, Anthony H. (Tony), July 9, 1923 - August 27, 2021. Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Tony passed away on August 27th after 98 great years of life. He was the beloved husband of Helen Bozied Ambrose (deceased) for 71 years. Dad was born in St. Louis, MO, in 1923 and preceded in death by his loving parents Stanley and Daisy Levandoski. Dear father of Tony, Jr. (Judy), Becky (Dick, deceased) Albrecht, Chris (Linda), Joe (Marcia) and Nick (Shirley), grandfather of 16, great-grandfather of 37 and great-great-grandfather of 1. Dad faithfully served our country in World War II, the Korean War and in the military reserves. He was our treasure and will be greatly missed for his love of family, faith and sense of humor. Dad touched the lives of everyone he met and didn’t know any strangers. Our family thanks the wonderful caregivers at Parc Provence for making Dad’s final years enjoyable.

Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Tony's passing. Tony was our neighbor who lived on our street. Whenever I would go for a walk and see Tony I would give him a salute. He always had a kind word to say. Another of our greatest generation. Rest in peace Tony.

He will be truly missed he was a great guy I will always remember him showing me how to do push ups and he love to dance at happy hour as much as possible My prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family Liz at front desk Westview at Ellisville.

Such a great man and soul. Always a smile for everyone. People like him is the reason why the greatest generation got its name. A true treasure. May the perpetual light shine on him now and forever. Our love and prayers to all who will miss him. The Wahlig family

Tony was a special human being. He was my dads best friend. When dad was in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s/dementia, Tony came to visit him. When dad recognized him he would be so excited to tell me that “My best friend Tony came to see me today”. I appreciated that so much. Tony was always smiling and loved doing handstands. Go with God Tony. Helen (and my dad) will be so happy to see you. To your family, I am very sorry for your loss but glad you have so many happy memories with your dad,...

Thank you to the entire Ambrose family for sharing Tony with us. Every day he was here he brought a smile to our faces. I imagine he is now dancing with his lovely bride. May you all find peace.

Tony, Judy and Family - We are so sorry for your loss. Keeping all of you in our prayers.

Our prayers, love, and sympathy for Tony as well as to all his family and friends. We are so sorry to hear of his loss, but so rejoice in Heaven's gain as well as Tony rejoining his wife Helen. We are so blessed to have known Tony throughout these past 18 years with Ascension Church, where he also served as a lead usher; the Knights of Columbus Ascension Parish Council & 4th Degree (West St Louis County) Holy Spirit Assembly. Always friendly, kind, helpful, energetic, and with a smile, Tony...
